White Box Benefit

“White Box” gallery is a very important and venerable non-profit institution for cutting-edge art and performance on the Lower East Side.  Join us this Tuesday, May 21st, at ROX Gallery to celebrate White Box’s 15th Anniversary at their 2013 Spring Benefit, where they will be awarding the inimitable Martha Wilson with the 2nd annual Richard J. Massey Foundation – White Box Arts and Humanities Award.  In addition, a unique “scepter” created by fellow groundbreaking feminist artist Carolee Schneemann will be presented to Martha as Barbara Bush.

This event will include a Live Auction along with a Silent Auction and special curated section of “Women’s Voices”, featuring an array of exceptional women artists. This auction features “Three Graces with Cellphone” by LAMBERT FINE ARTS‘ own Bob Clyatt and Ultra Violet’s “Angel over the White House”, among others.  Bid online from May 14-May 21st at 12pm EST.  Bids transfer to the live event that evening.
